The professional development (PD) structure at the site included coaching for all teachers on a one-on-one basis based on the needs of each staff member ranging from lesson planning, classroom management, or specific teaching strategies to make learning active and engaging. PD also included the components of the Teacher Evaluation Pilot (TEP) performance indicators and Academic Discourse. The SQR Team also heard that teachers received a couple of sessions from the Special Education staff about accomodations and modifications, and how some of those could be applied to students who were not in their program.
