In reflecting on the feedback the school received from the Balanced Literacy cohort walk-through, teachers discussed how their students used Reciprocal Teaching (RT) routines well (students knew their roles and were reflective), but pushed themselves to support students to have more organic, accountable talk, as opposed to the more stilted “follow the steps” conversations.
